Again and again God's word encourages us to walk humbly before God and man.
The greatest among you will be your servant. (Matt.23v11)
Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. (Matt 23v12)
Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. (Matt 18v4)
Do not be conceited. (Rom 12v16)
Clothe yourselves with .....humility. (Col 3v12
Be completely humble and gentle. (Eph 4v2)
Show true humility towards all men. (Titus 3v2)
God's dealings with individuals cannot normally be seen. But the fruit is obvious by the people they are and the ministries they have.
If you have any ambition in God, let it be that you grow in true humility. The truly humble man walks in the presence of God, not attempting to do things by His own inspiration or strength, for He recognises the truth of what Jesus says: 'Apart from me you can do nothing' (John 15v5)
